I love their pizza as a quick pick up item that is affordable and edible. It is more of a traditional NYC style pizza versus a thick crusty Papa John's pizza. I have never eaten in the deli. I have also gotten their pasta and grocery items there and have never been disappointed by the quality. It's a good solid place to pick up something quick and freshly made for dinner or lunch.

Yummy veggie sub & marinated veggies

you can go to Santucci's for some pretty fine subs you can go to Santucci's for some pretty fine sandwiches you can go to Santucci's for bags of kettle chips you can go to Santucci's for a homemade calzone you can go to Santucci's for a not so good pizza you can go to Santucci's for some Sons of Italy pasta and canned vegetables. you can go to Santucci's for that local little deli ambiance you can go to Santucci's and ask to use the bathroom..... and the kids behind the counter will tell you to go next door to the Starbucks.

A solid fresh sandwich, sub, hogie, grinder, whatever you want to call it. Santucci's is consistently good. And with the lunch rush they are usually slammed, but they still turn 'em out pretty quick. Their pre-made frozen marinara and parms are really good, too. I recommend calling ahead to pick-up if it's between 11 and 1 or between 5 and 6.
(4)David W.
This is good lunch spot. I've been twice and both their turkey and chicken Parm were good. They have a large drink and chip selection. Locals flock here for a reason
(3)M P.
Santucci's is my favorite Saturday lunch stop (Max's is for Sundays). I love their Italian sandwiches. Really all their sandwiches are awesome but the Italian is my weakness. Their pizza is pretty darned good too.
(4)Paul M.
Funky & friendly deli in the Woodmoor Shopping Center. I love this place for all the wrong reasons - bomb shelter decor, mismatched furniture, more varieties of potato chips than you can count, you name it. I couldn't be happier.
(4)Cliff E.
Good solid pizza and NY style deli. Great value, best pizza on the Colesville Rd. / Rt 29 corridor. No delivery. Beats competition with true Italian ingredients.
(4)Kurosh H.
So this place was like 6 stars all through middle school and high school. I regarded it equally as high as Continental Pizza. One day I came back from California though and I felt like I was eating lettuce in some flat bread. OK, it was a little better than that and gets high marks compared to California delis but I wouldn't call it legendary. As a beginner, go for the italian cold cuts.
(4)Robert F.
I love a good deli. This place was so amazing as to have a full on counter to do all the great sandwiches that they offer both hot and cold. I was so impressed with the hot sub that I had that I also ensured that I picked up a second cold sub to take with me for dinner later. It was a wonderful decision. Also the place has Italian groceries to shop through while snacking on your chips and waiting for a sandwich. It would be amazing if I lived near.
(5)Katelyn K.
I grew up in Central New Jersey and living there you get use to good bagels, good pizza and good subs. I have tried a ton of places in the DMV and the only place that comes close to a good sub from home is Santucci's. The fresh bread tastes delicious and each sandwich is made fresh to order. If you love the taste of subs, heros or hoagies from the NY/NJ area you HAVE to go to Santuccis. The line is often out the door and there is little seating inside, but it is worth it!
(5)Joe K.
This place is a four corners staple! The Best cold cuts!
(5)Andrea C.
When I want to break my diet without hating myself because the food wasn't worth the guilt, I go to Santucci's. It is always worth it! The classic Italian cold cut is my husband's favorite. I like the meatball but to justify the hot generous portion of french fries I will get a sub that comes with lettuce and tomato. They are all good. If you are traveling with your sandwich, keep in mind the fresh bread will absorb sauces and won't travel well, so ask for the oil and vinegar on the side. Outside seating is just two small tables facing the parking lot; hot in summer but okay in spring and fall.
(5)Mike H.
Our class just had a reunion catered by Santucci's. EXCELLENT. Kevin did a fantastic job working with us on the menu, getting the right amount of food for a large group, which isn't easy, and did such a great job preparing the food and getting it over to the venue. Everything worked out perfectly and can't thank Santucci's and Kevin enough.
(5)James D.
I've been going here for the past ten years. It's a great Italian deli. You can always expect a great sub. They do have some take out meals available also. Seating is very limited. But a great deli nonetheless.
(5)Connie L.
Discovered Santucci's today. I decided to try the sausage with onions & peppers sub. Though the sauce on it was very tasty, they had cooked the sausage so much that it was dry. Maybe its because the cut the sausage into smaller pieces instead of leaving it as I normally see it sliced in half. I might give them another try but it would have to be with another sandwich.
(3)Cherrelle L.
Amazing. We just moved here from NC and have been craving a good sub! Needless to say, they surpassed our craving! Italian Cold Cut was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Turkey With Bacon --- YUMMY!!! Super affordable and worth every penny! This is sure to be a tradition and frequent stop for us! Service: The guys were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was clean and the service was QUICK!
(5)Soft Power G.
I really like the food at Santucci's it pains me to have to write this review... Stopped by last night, ordered our food, paid for it and waited patiently for our grub. Did not check the bag so we get home no chili which our daughter ordered... Called store 4mins before closing and was told we didn't leave it.. BUT we were charged... Smh... Big disappointment...
(2)Heather J.
There is a Subway restaurant a few doors down from Santucci's and I can't figure out how they stay in business with this place so close-by. If you're on your way to Subway, do yourself a favor and head to Santucci's instead. For approximately the same price (maybe a couple dollars more), you can have a sandwich that's ten times better. They also have a great selection of chips/snacks that are way more exciting than the baked Lays at Subway - think guacamole-flavored chips, Old Bay chips, jalapeno chips...need I say more? I couldn't resist getting the Italian cold cut sandwich. They have 3 size offerings - I went with the smallest, which was not small at all. It was piled high with cold cuts, a slice of provolone, LTO, and yummy vinaigrette, all on a soft kaiser roll. It ranks up there with the best Italian subs I've ever eaten. And it was $5.50. Beat that.
(5)Gina K.
I stopped in to pick up a bite before going out for the evening. I rarely pass up anything called an Italian Deli. This place did not disappoint. Do not let the semi-modern mall location fool you. It feels like an old school deli when you walk in. I got some great chicken salad, potato salad, and some imported prosciutto, all for around $12, nice value.
(4)Colleen W.
I have had almost everything on the menu! The staff is very friendly, professional, and on point. It runs like a well oiled machine even on a Friday night. They even remember your order for next time if you go as often as I do. They only have fries during lunch but the food is so good and portions are great that you really don't need any more. Best deli I have found since I moved here 15 years ago. Great service. Great food. They have made my husband no longer mind my late hours because I can bring him back dinner. I work in the shopping center and half my customers say they love coming to my store as an excuse to come here! Doesn't get better than that.
(5)Kristen L.
Santucci's is our go to place for Italian subs, antipasta salad, and bake it yourself calzones. The bread is delicious the deli meats are fresh and real Italian cold cuts. The salads while they may look smallish really are packed with tons of goodies -- we usually add some extra spinach or lettuce at home and there is still plenty of dressing. The vege and meat calazones that you heat up at home (check the refrigerators) are delicious. Nicely seasoned with crispy crust. Oh and the homemade pastas are tasty too! Plus we like the meatball sub. Pizza, not so great but there are so many other tasty options, who cares?
(4)Sophia L.
The one of the best small businesses sandwich shops I'd've ever been too. My favorite part is the tomato mozzarella sandwich or the eggplant parmesan sandwiches. There service is also great. I would 100% suggested this place.
(5)Maria P.
HOLY F*CKING SHIT! Ill admit, at first I thought people were hyping it up because they didn't know any better. The girl taking my order was overly enthusiastic...but now I know why. I was wrong. So, so, so wrong. I ordered the Italian cold cut and proceeded to inhale the entire sub within 15 minutes. The bread:meat:topping ratio is utterly perfect & the oil/vinegar is just right. I asked for everything and (much to my delight) they didn't use the elaborate amount of mayo and oil that other places do. It's only $7.95 for a 10inch (8inch if you're using the whole grain bread). Additional tip: Ask to have that deliciously fluffy bread toasted. You won't be disappointed. It's not often that I get a craving for subs...but whenever it happens I'm coming here. The reasonable prices and fresh ingredients are enough to establish my loyalty...and if you give this place a chance it'll probably get yours too!
(5)Jane Z.
When you first walk in, you will notice Italian groceries .. Which is a plus if you're planning on cooking an authentic Italian dish.. This place seems to have different varieties of subs and even frozen pasta to buy. I gave three stars because of a pastrami sandwich I bought here.. There was way too much rosemary oil and spices in it. But taste wasn't bad. I would recommend this place.. It's kind of reminds me of my old New York deli/sub stop.
(3)Ben S.
I found Santucci's 4 years ago when I moved to Silver Spring. It is by far the best deli in town. I have had a vast majority of what they offer, and each time it is as delicious as the time before. Some of my favorites include: - Italian Cold Cut - Chicken Steak & Cheese - Chicken Salad Do yourself a favor next time you are in the four corners area, go to Santucci's.
(5)Michael O.
Find this place on Yelp during a business trip. Enjoyed a fresh steak and cheese sandwich on perfect roll. Tasty, good service and value. Would repeat!
(4)Katy C.
I used to go here for sandwiches as a quick, alternative to Marccone's if I didn't feel like driving to Wheaton and dealing with parking. The sandwiches here range from mediocre to good. Overall an upgrade from Subway next door. If you are looking for a sandwich, Marccone's is superior to Santucci's by a wide margin. Not planning to return any time soon. Reason: My parents and I went here recently, and we noticed after the fact that they had added an extra $8 tip to our credit card. Update: My dad called and they refunded the $8 overcharge. No explanation given as to why there was an extra charge. Updated review to two stars from one since they refunded the overcharge. Since no explanation was provided, I doubt I will go back. If I did, I would pay cash.
(2)John P.
This long-standing neighborhood deli draws a big lunch crowd with its terrific subs and sandwiches. It also offers a limited but excellent supply of Italian groceries (pastas, cold cuts, cheeses, sauces, bread, cannoli, etc.) to take home. Homemade, prepackaged pasta dishes with tomato sauce to reheat for 2-3 people are excellent, including an outstanding eggplant parmesan. Terrific pizza by the slice is a great value. Limited seating inside and out. Parking in front and back. Well worth a stop.
(4)Steph F.
Giving this place 3 stars based on my cold cut sub that was a bit drenched in oil and nothing much greater than one from Subway 3 doors down. Customers service was good, place seems a little dirty, like the floors need a good mopping, food came out fast. Prices can be bout 10 bucks for a 12 incher cold cut. Pretty average sub place if you ask me.
(3)Roy S.
Excellent sub's!! Had a meatball and cold cut sub. Great flavor, quick, and a low price. Love this place!!
(4)Andrew F.
I get the cold veggie sub with everything and cheddar cheese, and it's absolutely fantastic. I just wish this place wasn't a 15 minute drive from where I live. I tried the pizza once... sub-par. The sandwiches are phenomenal though and I take everyone who visits me here in DC to (a) Santucci's Deli, and (b) District Taco. Those are my two 'must eat' places for when friends pass through. Added bonus is that Santucci is over by Trader Joes, so you can swing by there before or after.
(5)Taylor F.
I have been on a hunt for a great sub in this area and have come up short almost every time. I went on yelp and searched best subs and this place popped up right away. The ratings were great across the board and people reviewed this place who said they grew up on Philly subs and found these to be comparable in quality. I had to give it a try since its pretty close to where I live. When I walked in the place was packed- a good sign!. Ordered an Italian sub with everything. So good! Everything was fresh. This will be my go-to place for subs now!
(5)Daniel B.
This place is consistently really good. The refrigerated Italian dishes like lasagna are what I go for, and they never disappoint. One container will feed two with a side (the parmesian salad was decent, and won't break the bank). But I'm addicted to their tiramisu and at $3.25 is bigger, tastier and cheaper than Whole Foods (they want $5.00 for a smaller piece). Last week it looks like a few fell and lost their shape but were still sealed in their container and they gave it to me for just $1.00 (Customer service is not dead). Everywhere else wants to make a profilt no matter what, they, at least, realize that they have to earn it. The employees, always, look like their working hard but are friendly nevertheless.
(4)Chris B.
Great sandwiches and friendly staff. The kind of sandwich shop you would want to bring your friends and family. You come enough and the crew will remember your name. My recommendation: the steak sandwich with cheddar. The only real question I've got is how is there a Subway able to stay in business just a couple of doors down? Apparently more people need to know about this place.
(5)Alex O.
Absolutely delicious. One day I want to be able to say that I have tried everything on the menu but so far I have not been let down. The sandwiches are never sloppy, very neat, yet stuffed to your stomachs delight. I recently have also gotten their fries with my subs which makes a great compliment to my meal along with their wide assortment of drinks. Their salads are very tasty for a salad and the Italian Cold Cut is to die for. Can't wait to conquer that menu!
(5)David H.
A REAL Italian deli...my sub is piled high with fresh and delicious, high quality deli meats and veggies. Note the long lines at this quaint little deli out the door on Saturday's...compared to the empty franchise chain sub shop down the street. Thank you Santucci's for an alternative to the horrible Subways that our County Council has allowed to litter shopping malls all over Montgomery County, Maryland. But quality wins out, and this is the place for delicious take out deli food.
(4)Rebecca F.
I think they have the best Italian Cold Cut sub! The only lunch special I noticed was the $2 small fries and $4 large fries. The sign said the fries had Old Bay Seasoning on them. However, as I was driving away, I tasted some and I had to imagine the Old Bay flavor since it was lacking... All in all, I will definitely go back but I will order extra Old Bay Seasoning on my fries.
(4)Ben O.
Pretty good food. I've been there a few times and never been wowed. Giving it the 4 stars because it's nice to have a real deli around, and not some chain store. It's a little on the pricey side, but you gotta support the local businesses.... Right?
(4)Priya M.
After seeing all the great reviews on yelp, my husband and I decided to check this place out. Boy we were quite disappointed. Our food tasted bland and poorly put together. We ended wishing we had gone to nearby chipotle or subway.
(1)William F.
First time customer. Cheesesteak sub was amazing and Kevin was great, providing very helpful info and friendly service. I definitely plan on becoming a regular.
(4)Jerry S.
Old school deli, small shop with four tables inside and two outside. Hot and cold subs and pizza, deli by the pound, fresh pasta and ready to go entrees in the coolers. Arizona tea available as well as fountain and other bottled drinks. Short wait even at 3 PM on Sunday, clearly a local favorite. More parking in back off University Boulevard if the small front lot is full. I tried the Italian cold cut sub, Generous tasty fillings on fresh commercial bread. Nice stop if you are passing that way.
(4)Joe S.
Lived in Montgomery County for 40 years and been to this shopping center well over 50 times and never knew this place was there. I seen good reviews on yelp so I decided to give them a try. Been there twice in two days and I am hooked.
(4)Kyle C.
Best calzone ever. Homemade sauce has been feeding four corners for years. Love this place since I was 8. What up Kevin!?
(5)Steve J.
I just had an italian sub from Santucci's and it was ok. I would not say great by any means. I am from Philly, so I am spoiled when it comes to sandwiches and Italian Deli's. The rolls here have absolutely no flavor. If you break a small piece off and eat it without the oil and vinegar that they saturate the sandwich in, you will realize it is tasteless. And as I mentioned, the pour so much oil on the sandwich that it is pouring out the entire time you eat it. I also tried their pizza. They get 0 stars for the pizza. They have no right trying to sell this garbage off as pizza. Stick to sandwiches. But as i said they are just A-OK.
(3)A C.
Sad little deli in strip mall. There are very few dining options for lunch in Silver Spring. As a New Yorker at heart, this deli makes me weep for the amazing Italian Delis in NYC. So disappointed in my lunch todaay that Im googling food pron of the delis I used to go to. Stale cheese, funky tasting tomatoes, bland hoagie even though I asked for spices. If it weren't for the boyfriend I would have run screaming away from DC long ago.
(2)Francesca R.
We only get one thing, the Italian cold cuts sub, everything, no hot. It is the most amazing sandwich ever, I have no reason to get anything else. That sub and a cold beer is a form of heavenly bliss.
(5)Andrew T.
Santuccis is awesome. Cheesesteak sub, meatball sub, chicken parm, and Italian cold cuts are all out of this world. I feel often times that fresh bread is what makes a good sub a great sub and the bread here is great. 9/10 these guys will get your order right. Reason for the 4/5 instead of 5/5 is cause they are kind of expensive and they only sell fries during the lunch time hours.
(4)Marisa M.
Their eggplant parm is amazing! Their chicken parm is very weird, I got shaved chicken on a sub, it was alright, but I wish it was a cutlet.
(4)Paola G.
Neighborhood gem. I came here on Columbus day thinking that schools were closed. I hear that this place is always packed with HS kids from Blair and the lines are long. To my surprise, schools were in session and it was about 3 pm so it was really packed. I drove 20 minutes from my house to get these famous subs. It took about 30 more minutes to order and get our subs to go. The thing is that if its that in demand it makes me even more excited and I will wait hours just to see what the hype is all about. We ordered two Chicken subs with bacon and cheddar and everything else there is to add to it. The options are 6' 10' or 12'. I got the 12' thinking I was gonna eat all of it, but it was huge and not even like subway size subs. It was sooooo good I cant say how happy I am to eat Philly/NJ style subs here in MD. We also got large fries and let me say that they are sooo good and crunchy. We added garlic powder and old bay to them and loved them oh soo much. I noticed that they have frozen items in the fridge, a separate line for catering orders and breakfast. Their prices are great for all. With two subs, large fries, a large bag of chips,a can of artichokes we paid about $22. That is very very good for the quantity and quality of these subs. Cant wait to go back this weekend!
(5)Timothy C.
Oh man that Rueben is delicious! And the bread! And the dressing! One more star for Santuccis!
(4)John L.
Best deli around, try the Italian cold-cut... IT'S GREAT! The service is fast and friendly as well, can't beat that.
(5)Troy S.
The best delicatessen around town. I always have a Santuccis Friday run afterschool, good thing is itd right across Blair High School and omg their meatballs are phenomenal and it taste great! Last Friday I ordered a sandwich pastrami for 6.59 plus tax. The amount of meat on the meal is not over flowing but just the right amount of pastrami on the sandwhich. The pastrami is soaked in a tub of sauce, it so tasty. The prices are very affordable in exchange for their great food! You will not be disappointed in this joint!
(5)Liam M.
Best deli I've been to. So fresh and fast. Italian cold cut with everything is amazing.
(5)Andrea R.
My coworker has been raving about this place for a while now. We were out of the office and decided to stop of lunch. I got the pastrami with everything. Let me tell you...totally worth it. It was the best sandwich I've had in a very long time. I did have to wait a while to get it, but it was busy since it was lunch time. Very worth the wait; I'd get it again. The store is on the small side, but it has a homey feel to it. It actually reminds me of a small, family owned Italian store from my hometown. They also sell gelato, fresh pasta, and other Italian goods besides the standard sandwich sides (chips, beverages, etc.). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in the Silver Spring area!
(5)texas w.
This is exactly what I wanted...one of those sandwiches with the finely shredded lettuce and the oils soaking through the paper. A+
(5)Sharon W.
I hope it was just a bad day for them but too many things went wrong our last visit to Santucci's. Husband called and ordered a large turkey and cheese sub with everything except the dressing. When he got the sub home and we opened the wrapping it was a sub with just turkey and cheese, no "everything". At least they did leave off the dressing. Anyway, I doctored it up with peppers and pickles and took a bite. The roll wasn't fresh at all. Then, as a surprise, husband had picked up one of their small bread loaves to have with our dinner that night. It was so stale you could barely cut it with a knife. We tried to give it a second life by buttering it and wrapping it in foil and warming it in the oven but it was beyond resuscitation.
(2)Nick Y.
Very good sandwiches and subs and will be made to order. We liked their egg salad, and they had every topping I asked for.
(5)Brittany S.
Luckily I grew up right down the street from here and would sneak out every chance I could when I went to Blair to go here for lunch. Probably my favorite deli in this area. Everybody is always so nice and fast - as fast as they can for being busy all the time! The prices are very reasonable! And definitely way better quality than Subway a couple shops down. They've added more chairs and tables to sit down and enjoy your meal which I appreciate. Never had a bad experience here and everything I've ever gotten was good!!! Can't go wrong with Santucci's!
(4)Kevin S.
I was in Silver Spring for a seminar this morning and then looked up $ places to eat nearby on my Yelp BlackBerry app. This place had really good reviews, so we went to try it out. We didn't even make it past the front door. We opened the door and saw that there were people smoking inside, so we turned around and left. Other data for this place: the parking lot is extremely small for so many businesses in that little strip mall. The deli was obviously popular because all the tables were occupied both inside and outside and there was a line inside.
(1)Daniel E.
Best Italian deli in the area. I most often go for their excellent Italian Cold Cut sub, but I also really like the meatball & cheese sub. The sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and efficient, but sometimes the line can get long.
(5)Sherisse S.
i am pro-sandwich. i love them all: hoagies, sammies, subs - just bring them all to me. santucci's is obviously an institution for good reason. this no frills diner serves up a perfect ratio of bread:meat:cheese:toppings:condiments. Admittedly, i went yesterday; and had to return today. i was so excited, and as i was ordering another delicious sub - I saw an uninvited guest running down the wall. i was heart broken. that was a quick and intense romance that is now over.
(3)Bridget M.
I always use Yelp so I feel like I should finally write a review. This place is awesome and I come here about 2-3 times a week. I get the same sandwich every time (chicken breast) and its so simple but done so well. My friends have gotten some of the others (chicken parm, Italian, cheesesteak) and there all great. As other reviews have mentioned the service of this place is great. The first time I went was on a Tuesday night around 8. It was me and 2 friends and we were the only people in the place. The guy working gave us an extra meatball Sammy for free. Only warning is that this place is bumping on Saturdays and Sundays between 11-1 so it does take about 15 minutes to get a sub.
(5)Chris H.
I've only been once, but, man, I was impressed. The italian cold cut with LTO and oil/vinegar and hot peppers was just awesome. I was mad at myself for ordering the 10" and I won't make that mistake again - 12" from now on. The pizzas looked good, but I haven't tried them yet. Prices were reasonable. The ambiance was that of a local deli, quaint and the aroma of Italian spices. I look forward to visiting again.
(5)Ryan M.
Having Santucci's right around the corner is A - MAZ - ING. Every time I'm here eating a cheesesteak life just feels perfect. I think it's the super local feel of the place. It's got seemingly high school kids running it. It's got delicious food. It's kinda crusty. The food comes up quick and the rolls are perfect. A little crunchy, but also soft inside. I haven't had the heart to stray too much from the cheesesteak though.
(4)Kevin S.
Great place to get a sandwich. I think my favorite sandwich has left though and there is a noticeable quality change in the chicken cheese steaks which is why it wont get five stars but its still my neighborhood favorite.
(4)Wayne F.
Really a 3.5 but I only had a cold cut, so hard to judge a place that looks promising on one sub. The meats and provolone were very flavorful and there was just the right amount of oil and vinegar (I actually like it on the heavy side). The roll, however, was eh. Having said that, I did notice a crusty looking stack of rolls and I think I would have liked that much better-- one reviewer noted that you have the option of this or the traditional softer rolls. This is on the way to one of my offices, I definitely give it another shot as the Pastrami looked really promising...
(4)Josh F.
Great place. Has that small family owned deli feel to it. Recommend the cheese steak and their fries. Does it full during lunch hour but its definitely worth the wait.
(5)Amber Z.
I got a 10" prosciutto sub that wasn't so great. Their bread is just fine, but it was soaked in oil and vinegar dressing, plus mayo. Their was a lot of meat on the sandwich, but the fine taste of prosciutto was overpowered by all the oil in the sandwich, leaving me with regret of having ordered this sandwich. Next time I'll maybe get a salami sandwich with no oil and give this place another chance.
(2)Carl S.
Moved here from South Philly three years ago, this is the best cheesesteak I had here. I just wish they had chez wiz for the steak
(4)Lori P.
As others have said, it is a neighborhood gem. It reminded me of one of the small Italian grocers in NYC, with an eclectic mix of Saturday afternoon 'burb folk getting their munch on. I ordered the Reuben, hubby ordered the pancetta. The hot subs have the most delicious crunchy toasted roll--alllllmost, but never close enough to, a NOLA style po' boy roll. The pancetta sub had the requisite Italian dressing and they don't skimp on the meat. The only complaint I have is the Reuben needed more sauerkraut, but not everyone is a sauerkraut aficionado, so perhaps you will find it has the right proportions. Overall, I was excited to finally try this place, and we will definitely be going back. As an added bonus, there is a sign in the shop saying that all salads are served with bacon unless you order otherwise. Who can't love a place with a sign like that?
(4)Carmen S.
After our near weekly shopping trip to Home Depot early last Saturday, I offered to treat my husband to a sandwich at Santucci's for lunch. I've passed this place a thousand times on my way to work, but never stopped. We turned in to the large lot behind the shopping center and easily parked my husband's large truck - not an easy feat in this area. The place is small, but relaxed, and you can pull up to the bar at the window and people watch. I asked the person behind the counter what they recommend, and they said most people like the Italian cold cut sub and the cheese steak sub - so we got one of each. There was a variety of sodas, teas, etc in the coolers to choose from, as well as gorgeous homemade tortellini, ravioli, lasagne, etc, etc. in the freezers. The sandwiches were incredible! We each got a 10 inch sub, but could only finish half, and wrapped the remaining nosh in our napkins to go. Best sandwich place in Silver Spring. How on earth can anyone go to Subway with their gross dry bread and pressed meat when Santucci's is only a few doors down? Can't wait to go back!
(5)Phi N.
The subs and sandwiches are good here. It's not the best I've ever had but definitely worth eating. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, it's bigger than I thought.

Had a hankering for an authentic Italian cold cut sub (meat cheese condiment ratio/fresh Italian roll). All the blogs led to Santucci's. When I walked in the aroma did not disappoint. It was exactly as my minds senses predicted. My only disappointment... I ordered 3 to share but ate 1 1/2. Yup! It was that good. Picked up some fresh pasta. homemade pesto and Romano from their fridge. Will be back.

A legit neighborhood sub spot. The Santuccis live in the neighborhood and hire neighborhood kids to work the counter. I've been eating here since I can remember, skipped school here, will take my future kids here. Doesn't hurt that the subs are the bomb, made to order, and cheap. And it's charming that there's old wooden grocery shelves with pastas and olives and random italian grocery crap on it that I've never seen anybody touch. Not as fast as a subway or whatever, but way better on so many levels.

My "go-to" neighborhood deli. I have been coming here for close to 20 years. My fav items include the chef salad and the turkey sub with their famous herb dressing but I also really love the pizza and frozen prepared meals as well. Bottom line, you can't go wrong. Awesome owners and they tend to hire local teens but all of the staff is great and it's always such a pleasure to support this local establishment. Great food, good people!

I am so glad I looked on Yelp and found this place, and the best part is that it's right around the corner from my house. I got a turkey sub and my hubby got the cheesesteak. We are both very pleased with our meal. They made our meal in less than 15 minutes. You can also call and order to go.

Anyone with experience dining on a tight budget probably has a few sandwich places already researched, sampled, and approved. Why? Because sandwiches are cheap and filling. Since I am simultaneously broke and hungry on a daily basis, I searched for a good sandwich place. I dug around urbanspoon.com and yelp.com and decided to head to Santucci's Deli in the Woodmoor Shopping Center at Four Corners. First off, it differs from the likes of Subway be being an actual deli. Yes, you can get all sorts of sandwiches and sides, but also an order of fresh, sliced meat so you can assemble your own artisan sandwiches at home. I snapped a few pictures, ordered the 10" beef barbecue sandwich for a modest $6.50, and waited as they diligently went to work. Another noticeable difference between Santucci's and big sandwich chains is the preparation. Sandwich chains create the sandwiches assembly-line style while Santucci's employees have been in the sandwich business for quite some time and stick with their orders from start to finish. Before long, my order was ready. My wait was noticeably longer than it would be at Quizway John's, but not so long I lost patience. I took a seat at the dining counter along the front window and snapped a picture of my delicious looking and smelling sub. Not many things on this world smell better than barbecued meat and at this moment, it's hard to name something that does. I sunk my teeth through the fresh, crusty bread, coleslaw, and cooked onions brought me back to every backyard barbecue that I have ever experienced. Just as I jotted down this deep observation of life and food, I heard a voice over my shoulder ask why I was taking photos. It was the owner and I informed him I was a food blogger working on my second blog (my first can be found here). His suspicious, questioning demeanor turned into encouraging friendliness. I informed him of the high praise of his establishment that led me here and he was even more appreciative of my picture taking. I laid on the flattery, hoping for a comped meal, but no luck. Will I go back? Yes, but I'll be busy searching new places for new posts for a while. I would like to try the eggplant parmesan sub. -Someone of the male gender who does not like to spend a whole lot of money on things

ZOMG they carry Herr's Sour Cream and Onion potato chips!!!!!! The five stars are not for that alone though. The hoagies (you all call them subs) are good! Not NJ/PA good (that's where I'm from so I'm a virtual expert on this subject and cheesesteaks) but in the 14 months I've been living in VA and MD these were the best sandwiches I have had. On the way home from work one night I stopped by (it took me a couple of days to figure out where this place was, it's in the Woodmoor shopping plaza for any other new-to-towners like me who can't figure it out) to grab some sandwiches for an easy dinner for R and I. I got the Italian Cold Cut and the Prosciutto sandwiches. To me those should be your barometers of expectation when trying out a new deli. Both were great! They tasted exacly how I hoped they would. The rolls were the best part. I need to find out where they get them from because rolls in these parts just aren't the same as I'm used to. The meat and cheese ratio was good and I really liked the peppers and oil on the sandwich- that's how Italian sandwiches should be! Seriously though I can't tell you how happy I am to have found a place to cure my Herr's potato chip cravings. Aside from that Santucci's also has a nice array of frozen entrees and other goodies that I'm looking forward to trying. Santucci's you have no idea how happy you've made me! Two twelve inch subs, 2 bags of chips ran a little over $20. Not super cheap but it was worth the price for a good sandwich!

Santucci's makes a good, solid Italian sub and has saved me the hassle of driving all over the DC metro area for the type of lovingly prepared cold cuts that I enjoy on Capitol Hill, Arlington, and the greater Hoboken area. They're very friendly and the location is easy to get to. Like other Yelpers, I did NOT discover the larger parking lot behind the shopping mall until after many visits. Would like to know more about their items other than subs but will continue to return since I don't believe the reports of infestation from other Yelpers...

Best place for sandwiches/subs in Silver Spring. I'm from Wilmington, Delaware, and we grew up with some pretty tasty subs. A great sub starts with fresh rolls, and Santuccis has these. The subs aren't as thick as they are back home, but they are fresh and delicious.

The subs are good, The kids who work here are nice. The several Roaches I saw running on the walls, and across tables where folks eat where not. If you like roaches, You will love this place!

Excellent subs...Meatball and Cheese, Sausage and Peppers are my favorites. If you get there early, the pizza is good....Not many good pizza places that I know of in 4 corners.

My favorite sub shop, hands down. Great bread and meats. I know they have more than subs, but I can't get enough of their Italian Cold Cut.

Lousy pizza, but you don't go to Santucci's for the pizza, you go for the subs and you can even walk out with a bocce set if you're in the market for one. Santucci's offers two types of bread for their subs - a crustier hard roll, or your standard softer roll that crisps nicely after your sandwich has been toasted. Now, I do not claim to be a sub connoisseur by far, but I know that Santucci's takes their sandwich making seriously. It's no rush job either - you're not walking out 2 minutes later with a sandwich in hand. No, you will wait along side the refridgerated drinks watching the soccer game on the small tv until they call you. They have employed the same sandwich making individuals for some time, the owner is there and he looks like a grouch, but he's never been mean to me and there's also this cute guy who I believe told me he has a Portuguese background. I've had a crush on him for quite some time and his subs are the best!

I tried out Santucci's this past weekend, after hearing several good things about their subs, etc... So I thought I would finally test it out. I ordered the classic Italian cold cut, and although it didn't exactly have me doing backflips it was a more authentic Italian cold cut then most other places in the area. I don't know the bottom line was my sub was alright, nothing special, and it didn't really leave me craving more. I guess I would say its a good place to pick up a casual lunch if you are in the area.
